A group of Chinese guests from Canada.
This was an exciting day! This couple has waited
a long time to finally get baptized.
Glen Rawson from Utah. Used to have a Church History TV
program in Salt Lake City. He brings lots of tour groups to
our sites..."Fun for Less" Tours.
This is a tour group going through the Missouri Church History
portion of the Visitors' Center with Sister Cammack
as their guide.
At the end of the History tour is this room that shows a video of
the growth of the Church since those early days of the 1830's.
It's a very inspiring, short video. Most people really like it!
In our large theater room, is a display of Photographs of the
different places of the beginnings of the restoration of the
Church, from the Sacred Grove (of the First Vision) to
Carthage Jail (where the martyrdom took place)
Sisters Mudrow and Hess are pictured here with John
Bytheway, his wife and daughter.
Having a fun discussion about the Friday Morning Training Meeting
The wonderful mother of this Filipino family attended seminary
in the Philippines. Her favorite sections in the Doctrine and
Covenants were sections 121 to 123. She said that never in her
wildest dreams would she have imagined being at Liberty Jail,
where those sections were revealed.
Sisters Bishop and Malm (on the right) got to do a presentation
at the Historic Liberty Jail to a Youth Group who came on a tour.
Her younger sister was in the group...She's the young
woman on the left. Such a sweet experience!
One of our Returned Missionaries that served with us
in the Philippines, David Vilingia, came to visit us here in
Independence and we took him to lunch! It was
great to see him and that he is doing so well.
Here he is with his sister and us at the Visitors' Center.
She's waiting on a mission call coming soon.
Picture taken in the Liberty Jail lobby with Sister & Elder Bronson
and Sister and Elder Stoddard after Thursday Morning Training
Meeting there. These two couples live in Liberty, but work in
both the Visitors' Center and Liberty Jail.
Another visit from one of our Returned Missionaries in the
Philippines San Pablo Mission, Mercedes Anderson. She
and her friend came and stayed a night on their way to
Virginia were she is getting her Masters Degree. This picture
was taken in the exit room at Historic Liberty Jail site.
A visit from Taylor Sherwood (my twin, Kandy's, son), his wife,
Marisa and their cute kids! It was a surprise
visit! So fun to be with them!
We traveled a distance to be with the Randall's for Church and
then dinner at their place! Sister Randall is on the far right,
Elder Randall was taking the picture! :-( But we got their friends,
the Christiansen's, in the picture...nice couple! We love the Randall's.
They are great missionaries!!
We got a picture with both of them at the Senior dinner at the Tefteller's!
This is the Tefteller's...We are missing them! They finished
their mission. He was the Medical Advisor for the mission,
along with other missions in the area! We love them!
We were privileged to give these sisters a ride home from the
Kansas City Temple! We were attending the same session and
they needed a ride home! That's Sisters Yates and Larson.
President and Sister Love were visiting the Jail so we got a quick
picture with them! Sisters Godfrey, Greenwood, Wilkins, Bingham,
Rust, Draper, Bleak and Bishop...with Sister and President Love!
