Thursday Morning Training Meeting, September 28, 2017

Front row Sisters Godfrey, Bishop, Cooper and Anderson.
Next row Sisters Bingham, Hooley, Rust and Cammack.
Elder and Sister Peterson in the back.

This is part a Spirit Week the Sisters here were participating in.
Their goal was to spark some friendship and unity between the
Sisters.  They started the week with an early morning breakfast
and a baby picture contest.  Baby pictures were posted and
everyone tried to guess who was who.  Then, each day the
companionship dressed as a companionship to represent
something or someone.  One day they would dress to look
similar to someone in a pamphlet, another day each companionship
dress to represent and season, another day was to wear companion's
favorite color. In this picture they dressed to represent those
companions to Joseph Smith in the Liberty Jail.  Sisters Grofrey
and Bishop (Caleb Baldwin), Sisters Cooper and Anderson
(Hyrum Smith), Sister Rust and Cammack (Alexander McCrae),
Sisters Bingham and Hooley (Lyman White).

Sisters are in the same order here!  Fun activity that
really worked wonders for unity!

Sisters Godfrey and Bishop gave a Training in our meeting about
finding the doctrine at the different areas of the history.  They wrote
three areas on the white board and asked the sister to give doctrine
that could be taught at each of the areas.  The came up with lots of
things and then let one of the companionship demonstrate one of
those areas with a specific doctrine.  Sister Rust and Cammack were
asked to do and did a wonderful job.  The rest of the time was used
up with Elder Peterson leading a discussion about our Vision.
This is a copy of what we have so far...It's a work in progress...

Adam ondi Ahman Trip, September 26, 2017

Preacher's Rock:

The Sister posing on Preacher's Rock and they sang some
beautiful hymns for Brother Austin Bonnett, our guide at
Adam ondi Ahman.

The young Sister missionaries, along with Elder and Sister
Stoddard walked a distance away from Preacher's Rock so
they could test the acoustics of the area.

As Brother Bonnett spoke in a normal tone of voice, he asked
them to raise their right hand if they could hear him.  As you
can see, the test was a success! ;-)

Here we are at Tower Hill...from the left, Sister and Elder Hansen,
Sisters, Murphy and Hess, Elder Peterson, Sisters Moreno, Davies,

VC Senior Couples Dinner at Peterson's August 28, 2017

This picture was taken on our front patio...so much better than
the dark ones we usually take in our living room!  In the front,
Sisters Parker, Hansen, Peterson, Bronson and Sharp.  Back row.
Elders Parker, Peterson, Hansen, Stoddard, Sister Stoddard,
Elders Bronson and Sharp.

We had a nice dinner with Sister Hansen making her delicious
Shrimp Linguini with the rest of us doing side dishes, Spinach
salad, fruit salad, veggie tray, rolls, etc.

We then had a meeting discussing all of the issues and needs to
be taken care of with our Centers and with the Young Sisters.  It
always helps to touch base with everyone so we can know what
changes might need to be made or what training might be needed, etc.
We love having input from all of the couples.  We sure appreciate them
all and what they do to keep things running smoothly!  This is the
last dinner with the Sharps.  They will be leaving the 9th of October!
They have been serving for 18 months and so have been a great help!
We will miss them terribly!!

Unbirthday Celebration Breakfast at the Liberty Jail, August, 26, 2017

Not only did they celebrate the birthdays that wouldn't
come this transfer, but Elder and Sister Sharp gave all the Sisters
their "sticks" that Elder Sharp made for them out of the
Osage Orange trees from the area!  They loved it!
